Frequently Asked Questions

We understand you may have questions about our programs. Here are answers to some of the most common ones:

What is the difference between domestic violence programs and domestic violence therapy?

Domestic violence programs are structured, psychoeducational services offered in group, private, or e-learning formats. These services function as a domestic violence intervention program or, in some cases, a domestic violence diversion program, and focus on education, accountability, behavior change, and court compliance rather than clinical treatment. Domestic violence therapy, by contrast, consists of individualized one-on-one sessions with a licensed mental health practitioner and is designed to address a client’s specific behavioral patterns, risks, and goals through personalized clinical intervention.

Are your domestic violence programs court approved?

Yes. Court Counseling Institute has supported thousands of clients with court-related matters through court-approved domestic violence programs. Program suitability depends on the conditions of each case, so legal pre-approval from an attorney, probation officer, or court is strongly recommended. Our team is available to discuss case requirements and, when appropriate, coordinate directly with legal professionals to confirm compliance.

Can I complete the program after work hours?

Yes. Court Counseling Institute offers flexible scheduling for domestic violence therapy and group-based domestic violence support programs. Sessions are available seven days a week between 6:00 AM and 11:00 PM Eastern Time to accommodate work and family obligations.

Can I fast-track my domestic violence program?

Yes. With written approval from an attorney, probation officer, or court, clients may attend up to three domestic violence therapy sessions per week to meet court deadlines. Clients must be enrolled in a program package to access fast-track scheduling. If not enrolled in a package, the fast-track option must be paid at the first session and is non-refundable.

Where can I access Court Counseling Institute’s domestic violence programs?

Court Counseling Institute is headquartered in Miami, Florida. All domestic violence programs are delivered online, allowing clients throughout the United States and Canada to complete court-approved services remotely while receiving compliant documentation suitable for legal submission.
